|Summary:||Captain Basil Hall, R.N., was both an author and an artist. He travelled widely, visiting the Americas and Mexico as well as the East. He published several versions of his travels in the East, which also encompassed China. This volume deals with Korea and the Ryukyu Islands (the group which includes Okinawa), for which the old name was Loo Choo or Loo-Choo Islands. On the return journey Hall called in at St Helena and met with Napoleon, who had been at school with his father. This unique copy of the book has many sketches by the author bound into the volume.|
